A Great Day for Ducts
Guam is experiencing some heavy rains these days. It's certainly a good day for ducts.
We can hear the rain beating down outside the shop as the ducts are being fabricated (that is except for the time Jim is grinding and pounding the duct with hammer during fabrication!)
Meanwhile the duct for the Mod blower has been installed. The longer RF blower duct needs to have the final touches done.

Break for the New Year
Break from the project work? Well yes. Break of antenna cable? Yes. This post is going to take a 'break' from project update.
We had some amazing high trade wind gusts that got ahead of the antenna maintenance coming up. This was how 2013 started out for us
Fortunately we were able to switch to our spare transmitter
and wait until January 2nd to start the repairs. The winds are still
quite strong. Estimate of the wind while repairing the antenna - for the
rigger at the top - was around 40 knots. This was no small job.
