The team on Guam has been working hard in some tough circumstances to get KTWR's antennas back in working order. It was very slow and difficult work until a boom lift became available to speed access to some of the breaks. Some repairs must still be done with the boson's chair to get ANT3 repaired. This chair work was also required to get ANT2A repaired last week. Antennas 4 and 5 were repaired using the boom in far less time.As you can see below, ANT1 suffered quite a bit of damage. That antenna will be replaced. We are very blessed that the towers came through the typhoon very well.
Now for the good news you need to know. KTWR will resume the 12040/9910kHz broadcasts this Saturday. Broadcasts on 15390/15205kHz that had been covered by another broadcaster will move back to KTWR after Sunday. The schedule will be as shown below:
